A LITTLE CLARITY GOES A LONG WAY.
Privacy notice
Your ideas belong here. Your privacy matters here, too. Here's what we use, why we use it, and the choices you have.
We're getting these details ready for launch. This is a testing draft until our operator and contact details are complete.
The people behind Heedlane
Heedlane is provided by Heedlane. Need a hand, have a privacy question, or spotted a billing mistake? We're an email away.
Just what we need to make this work
We use your name, email, account details, and workspace settings to give you a place on Heedlane. We store the ideas, votes, replies, logos, and email preferences you choose to share. Sign-in records can include your browser and IP address to help protect your account and prevent spam.
Your password is hashed. Account protection secrets and recovery codes are protected. Stripe handles card details; we keep payment customer and subscription references and plan status so your workspace has the right access.
What's shared, and what stays private
Your name, ideas, and replies can be seen on a public board. Your email address isn't shown to visitors. Workspace teammates can see their team contact details. Please leave sensitive personal information out of public ideas and replies.
We use service providers for hosting, data storage, email delivery, and payments. They process information needed for those roles, sometimes in other countries. We don't sell your personal information. If you choose social sign-in, the provider shares basic identity details such as your name and email; we don't ask for your contacts, files, or repositories.
A few cookies, for a good reason
Necessary cookies keep you signed in and support security checks and trusted devices. A preference cookie remembers your sidebar. The demo remembers sample changes in your browser, and you can reset it. We don't add advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
Your inbox is yours
Account and security emails help you use the service. Sharing or voting on an idea follows its status updates; you can switch emails off inside the idea or unsubscribe from an update. Replies stay on the board. Status emails are grouped and subject to the workspace allowance. We don't turn your account email into an unsolicited marketing list.
Keep it, change it, or take it with you
You can change account details, export workspace ideas, and delete your account in settings. Before deleting an account that owns workspaces, transfer each one to a teammate or close it. Shared ideas and replies remain anonymously; your account, votes, and subscriptions to idea updates are removed.
We keep active workspace data to provide the service. After a trial or paid access ends, we keep a paused board for 90 days. We'll email the owner when it pauses and before removal, allowing at least seven days after the final reminder is delivered. Renew or export within that window. Closing a workspace removes its board content and logo. Some records may remain in secured backups until rotation, or where needed for billing, security, and legal duties.
You can also email us to request access, correction, export, or deletion. We may need to confirm it's you, and a shared workspace request may need its owner's involvement. Your rights under applicable law, including contacting a local data protection authority, still apply. We'll explain material changes to how we use your information.
A question about any of this? Let's talk it through.
